What types of Transcripts are there?
We currently have three different transcripts. We will go through them one by one in this help article and explain everything surrounding them.
Ask for Reason Transcript
Call Recording Transcript
Voicemail Transcript
Ask for Reason Transcript:
You can only see the “Ask for Reason” transcript if you also have the Ask for Reason option activated in your number’s settings. If you have an active Slack integration, Yodel will transcribe the answer to the “Ask for Reason” message live in your dedicated Slack channel. It will look like this:
You can also find the transcript in your call log. Click on the info button next to a specific call and it should also show you the transcript. If there is no transcript available the caller probably hung up or did not say anything. Here is how the “Ask for Reason” transcript looks in your call log:
Call Recording Transcript:
You can only see the “Call Recording” transcript if you also have the Call Recording option activated in your number’s settings. The transcript of the call recording is only posted in our improved call log which you can opt in for by clicking on the "Opt-In"button on manage.yodel.io/calls.
When you click on a specific call in the new call log you will see the transcript of the call recording on the right hand side.
Voicemail Transcript:
You can only see the “Voicemail” transcript if you also have the Voicemail option activated in your number’s settings. If you have an active Slack integration, Yodel will transcribe the Voicemail message live in your dedicated Slack channel. It will look like this:
You can also find the transcript in your call log. Click on the info button next to a specific call and it should also show you the transcript. If there is no transcript available the caller probably hung up or did not say anything. Here is how the “Voicemail” transcript looks in your call log:
Transcripts in one view:
There is an option to download your whole call log to see every call in one view. In the downloadable call log you can also find the “Ask for Reason” & “Voicemail” transcript if one is available. The “Call Recording” transcript is not posted there but a download link to get the audio file for the call recording is attached. To see all call transcripts in one view you can download the call log by clicking in the download button in the top right corner.
We will then send you an email with the call log download link and you will be able to see all calls and their transcripts.
