To purchase ITA or GER phone numbers you need to follow special regulations:
Italian phone numbers
Due to local regulations and laws, Italian phone numbers require a verified identity document.
If the end user is an individual, the end user must provide a valid, government-issued photo identification from any country (passport, national ID card or driver’s license). If the phone number is being used by a business, a signatory for the business must provide their photo identification and details. In addition, the name and VAT code of the business must also be provided.
To purchase an Italian number, write us in the support widget and provide us with the requested document as well as the following information filled out:
- Given Names
- Birth Place
- Birth Date
- Tax Code (e.g. Social Security number)
- Document Type
- Document Nationality
- Document Number
- Document Issue Date
- Document Scan
If the user is a business, all the fields above plus Business Name and VAT are required.
Once we receive all required information from you, we need to verify it.
This can take up to 3 business days. We will inform you whether the documentation has been approved or declined.
If approved, you can then get an ITA number on manage.yodel.io
German phone numbers
Due to local regulations and laws, German phone numbers require a verified identity document that includes the address matching the phone number you have in your Yodel account or want to purchase.
We need the following identification for an individual and for businesses:
Individual: If the end user is an individual, the end user must provide a valid, government-issued photo identification, that includes the address matching the phone number being used.
Business: If the phone number is being used by a business, either an individual employee must provide their photo identification with an address or the business must provide a company identification document that lists an address (e.g., excerpts from the trade register (Handelsregister or Handelsregisterauszug), excerpts from an association register (Genossenschaftsregister), a corporation’s founding documents, or other comparable documents.)
In all cases, the address, identification, and phone number must map to one another. More specifically, the proof of address must list an address that matches the address that you have on file in your Yodel account for the phone number in question, and the address on file in turn must be a valid address within the geographic area covered by the prefix of the phone number.
Please get in contact with us if you want to purchase a German number without having the correct address.
